Overheard Outside the Post Office
A man telling his small child who was afraid of a pigeon; “It’s ok son, you shouldn’t be afraid of any animal you can eat, and you can eat a pigeon, so you shouldn’t be afraid of one”. Love the logic, but I’m pretty sure cows have killed people, and some people eat ostrich and those things are dangerous.

It's New Years Eve
and I’m sat here playing with Photoshop, listening to Spotify and drinking cola. Oh how sad my life is! Still, might go downstairs later and ironically watch Jools Holland with my parents, and await my dad’s annual and inevitable ‘oh! you haven’t had a bath since last year!’ joke! Ho bloody ho, my sides are splitting.

Awards 2010 - Outstanding Act of Vandalism
Gene Hunt for vandalising the Blue Peter Garden - I am loving the A2A team’s take on a real life incident though, this episode led my dad to exclaim “OMG IT WAS GENE HUNT!!!”. Though what my dad was doing watching Blue Peter in 1983 (he would’ve been 35 at the time) I do not know.

2010 Awards - Best Special Effects in a TV Show
Misfits - The Shapeshifting Girl - This looked great and I think part of that is down to the effects, but a massive part of it is down to the acting. It just made shapeshifting look so visceral and downright painful. It helped that the girl they got to play Lucy was as creepy as fuck.

I got my Misfts dvd sorted
they were actually annoyingly nice about it, so any attempts I could’ve made to be righteously angry were squished in an instant. Dammit! Oh well, I can now commence the Misfits marathon; series 1, series 2, plus all the dvd extras. I expect I’ll be talking like Kelly by the end of it, and maybe looking for a probation worker to accidentally kill. Also, loving the epic spoiler on...

HMV, I Hate You
I ripped the plastic off of my Misfits series 2 dvd rather excitedly only to discover that some prick in HMV had left the security tag on the dvd and I can’t get the box open. So thanks Mr, you owe me my bus fare back into Leeds to get it sorted. Thank you, thanks a lot.
